I thought it was about time I updated this thing...

Summer is almost over! T__T Is that really necessary?

But I'm STOKED for college! First year! :D I'm taking basic classes the first quarter.... math, english 101...that sort of stuff. But every Tuesdays and Thursdays I'm in Graphic Design! Thought I would expand my mind. I have a friend whose already in there, hoping to meet some awesome new people too and brush up on photoshop and art-related matters. I was originally going to take a drawing class, but decided that graphic design was more intriguing.

... This all starts Sep. 22nd! I'm way nervous, but looking forward to a fresh start at a fresh school with fresshhh people!

Anyway...for my last 2 weeks of summer, I plan to get a lot of laziness out of my system... maybe work on a few films....start my painting escapades!...and try to plan out a camping trip with some friends. I'm also trying to save every penny I get my hands on so I can to go shopping. Must look prim and prepped for the college life! I'm probably going to go to the mall, take a peek at all the stores, and spend all my money at urbanoutfitters.....it happens every time. That is my homeland.

Anyway! Im sad to see summer end so soon...it was amazing, and I'm so grateful. A quick drabble about my adventures.... I went to Florida in June to visit family, spent lots of time with friends, went on a few random road trips, drove across state to spend time in my hometown, visited the forien land of Canada, went parasailing, hiked into the mountains, jumped the cliffs into the lake up at Cresent, saw Radiohead in concert (:D), and traveled to Seattle for the last day of Bumbershoot with some friends! A lot of good times.... But more are ahead too...and my 19th birthday in October! aah...

Its late! Im gunna peace! I'll try to stop by LJ more often from now on! I'm sure that wont be a problem now that school is starting..seeing as my social life will be destroyed until Christmas break. My life will consist of study, school, work, study more, and if I have time I'll eat and sleep...eh... Its a rough life
Currently, I am basking in my own procrastination. Sadly, my sen. project paper is due on Monday and I still need to write a huge majority of it. That's what today is for! But of course, I found myself sleeping in until past noon, then messing around on DA and CL forum. Oh goodness....I am so bad at getting stuff done! I mean, I'm not when it gets down to the last minute, but if I have time to spare, I never seem to just take care of what needs to get done!
I'm sure I'll start it soon though...I'm starting to realize what a retard I am.

Last night I watched The Lion King. And yes, I did cry when Mufasa died. If you never have, you have no heart. I forgot how good that movie was. No wonder it was my favorite for the majority of my childhood. Heck, I think it still might be! At least one out of the millions of others.

This week has been awesome. Honestly, it started with a great weekend and just kept getting better! On Sunday, I had a really relaxing day. One of my friends randomly showed up at my door and offered to work for me, so I told him to go for it, lol. I stayed home and worked in the garden and finally got my CL film done that I've been meaning to do for ages now. Its the first cmv I’ve ever made, I'm pretty proud of it.
On Monday, school was very nice and fast, then I spent the rest of the day with some friends. I also found my missing phone!! I was shocked, haha. It was under the passenger seat of my car ^^; Wow... Also, my ipod started working again! Hurrah! Tuesday my friend Diana and I went on a little nature hike and I found a 4-leaf clover. Then I lost it. Excitement.
Wednesday, I didn’t feel good so I stayed home and slept the day away. Thursday I realized it was May and drove off into the sun with my friend Kenzie, and we became beach-bound hippies and wondered into people's yards to take psychedelic pictures in hub-caps.
Last thing I knew, it was Friday! I finally got my interview done for my project. I had to call a waste-reduction specialist and talk to her about recycling. I actually learned a lot more than I did before I spoke with her. Thank goodness I got that over with. On Friday night I worked with some fun people, and Janessa and I stayed late after everything was done to play the fancy piano and sing songs. It was wondrous.

Yes well....now I sit here, wondering when I'll start that darn paper. I started this journal hours ago! I got side-tracked by that Man vs. Wild show.

Ahh, I better get on it....

Have a lovely night

TT_TT I'm behind on my research, so that makes everything else go ten times slower. There's no time to do the little things anymore! I bought an awesome sketch book the other day that I've barley touched! And forget about film-making... i wont have time for that in weeks! The closest thing to fun these days are seeing friends at school or going out to lunch! Well...it could be worse! lol
Time is going pretty fast. I have no idea what happened to it, but the battery must be shot or something because it won't come on or charge or anything! Its rediculous. But Im exhausted! From work and life. Reasons that really shouldnt be making me exhausted at all.
Well, todays the last day. Im going to catch up with hw and return tomorrow with a clean slate.

Senior project is already killing me! But I've messed around with my topic and finally have a good one to work with; Acheiving Sustainability of our Earth's Natural Resources for Future Generations.
Thats a long title.... I'll shorten it later.
This site is awesome --> http://earthshare.org/

Well, my padre came through for me and I now have photoshop on my home pc. Thank goodness! Its 7.0. For graduation, im hoping my mom will get me CS2 or a new canon =)

I lost my cell phone, Im sad to say. It just vanished! I have no recollection of where it might be. Im thinking it may have fallen out of my car or I might have even left it on top of the car while I was getting in (I wouldnt be surprised, Ive done it before) and drove off with it up there! Ahh... its horrible. And I didnt have insurence on it, so I cant get a new one until my next upgrade....which is in August. So I will be traveling and doing summer things with a henious little temp phone until then. TT_TT I got it in the mail last week. Ew. It looks like a brick from 1995, with a pixelated screen and everything! I cant believe I actually paid them money for it.
So as a result to all this, Ive been paying more attention to my ipod. Ive used itunes so frequently these days I think Ive spent nearly $20 already! And thats saying a lot coming from someone who normally strolls the cheap lane and uses limewire. I put some CL eps on it...my friends are like wut? I also put some other random stuff too and updated all my music. I love it, takes your mind off of things.

Meanwhile, I spent a lot of my day yesterday sketching for practice, and in just a few short hours my hand was sore and scraped up from the dang pencil! I dont know how this stuff happens to me. Whats a girl to do?

Im off to nap and do homework eventually.

Peace & Love dear

I'm loving life so much right now! I got everything worked out at school and I'm diving head first into Senior Project! I've got to admit, I'm already overwhelmed and we've barley begun research! But I think it'll be fine. My topic is too broad though, I need to narrow it down. I turned in my portfolio yesterday! So glad that's over with! I hope I did well.

Okay, thats enough about school, last thing I want to talk about. Everything else in life is good I suppose! I haven't done any new films in awhile. I feel kinda bad, because I haven't posted something new in a long time on YT, but I've just got way too much to deal with right now to get started on any of the projects I have in mind. Maybe over Spring Break.

Which reminds me, Spring break is going to be so incredibly boring! I was hoping to go somewhere spectacular, like Hawaii or Mexico, but no, instead I will be staying at home and the only tan I'll be getting is fake 'n bake at the salon! Hm...I guess its not so bad. No one else I know is doing anything wondrous, except for one of my friends who is going to Hawaii for a week. ( = Lucky) But, I'll have some time to catch up on some things. Can't wait! This week is our last week of school =3

So, Happy Easter! I wish I was going to Church tomorrow, but I have to work in the afternoon, and morning is the only time I have to dye easter eggs and spend some time with the fam! So, no Church I suppose. I've been thinking about starting to go again. I miss it! People who go to Church are generally happier people. Its good to be connected with God. I'm a typical relegious girl, but I just dont have a lot of time these days to go to Church every Sunday and make a regular routine of it! I want to start going though.

Ahh, I've been dying to see Enchanted as of lately. I think I might be getting it for Easter though =.) haha, I know, I still get easter baskets. Being an only child gives you that advantage, kids. I'll be a happy camper if I get it! So many people are fussing about it! I hear it's a good movie, so cant wait! ^^

Well, if I'm going to get up in the morning, I'd better get to bed. Have a Happy Easter, everyone!

=D The Art Institute called me the other day, I'm so stoked! I'm not sure if I'm going to be going there or not next fall, I may just stay here and do two years at the community college and then transfer to a 4-year and get my bachelor's degree....but the art institute would be so awesome to go to! I'm going to the open house sometime in April I think.... It's over in Seatle, so I'll have a ways to go. But thats fine, I could get away for a day! If I make the decision to go, I'd study photography and maybe animation...depending on what it's all about. Some of my goals for college are to study in photo-journalism and get hands-on experience there, also I'd love to go into some form of Geo-science and naturalist work, wildlife study, and art.

Wow, Senior Projects are already starting soon. Ahh....a lot of work ahead of me, but I'm ready for it. I'm doing my project on the importance of reconnecting with our natural world, and how vital it is for our well-being to take some time to stop and enjoy life more and to give back so that future generations can continue to appreciate and love our planet. A bit sappy, I know, but it's so true.

My topic surrounds other issues too. Please watch The Story of Stuff. It is so inspiring! http://www.storyofstuff.com/index.html
Honestly, you never really think about all this stuff until it smacks you in the face! I think Annie does an awesome job explaining the system crisis! She does tend to get a bit overly democratic, but thats ok by me. No one can be right or wrong in these situations. I don't think I could settle just being either demo or repub. I guess I'm one of those in-between gals. Anyway, I came across this film on Joe Murray's issues he cares about links a few months ago and fell in love with it's concept! Then today in Lit class, we watched it! I was glad. It's a film everyone should see.
Check it out, kids! Its rad!

Mmm....so much hw. But I've managed to keep spirits high. I truly cant wait for warmer weather! Some nice nature hikes, that's what I need! The granola life! ^^ Aww, I miss it.
In the meantime, all I can do is keep warm in-doors and work on random business such as artwork, sleeping, homework, writing, tv, movies, and computer. Total boredom pretty much! =P
Ahh...school. does not. sound. appealing! I'm dreading tomorrow morning already. T_T

Well, finally my LJ has a true entry! I should really stop by more often to rant about nonesense. I at first only made an account because of the CL Slash Community on here! ^^ I'm so attached to LazloXEdward! =.D It really didn't take much to get me hooked, I'm a sucker for the fluff.

Anyway, I'm off to bed!

Elephant layout! =3 Presh!
I've always wanted to make a LiveJournal account and finally found some time to do it! I suppose I'll need somewhere to let out my fandom frustrations now and then.

Stuff about me... hmmm. Well, I'm 18, a Senior in HS....Graduating in June '08! I hope to go into photo-journalism and do some environmental stuff when I get into college. Not completly certain what I want to do in my life, but there's a lot to choose from, and I have many plans. My dream job would be to work for National Geographic!
I'm a total nature nerd. I love getting out there and exploring the world and traveling. I also love animals and nature ^^ But who doesn't?
I love retro and vintage things, and anything from the 60's-70's. Not sure why, I guess because I just grew up with plenty of inspiration from my parents and the type of music and shows I watched as a kid. My favorite show of all time is Threes Company...so you do the math, lol. I blame Nick@Nite!

I was a pretty huge anime fan when I was younger, but when I went into high school I sort of lost interest and went onto other things. I've recently rekindled most of the love for my past favorites though and started film-making and getting reaquainted. Tenchi Muyo, Rurouni Kenshin, and Sailor Moon are some of the animes that I'll always love.
Also, I've been a Disney girl since I was little, so anything Disney-princess or otherwise is right up my alley.
I love to draw! Mostly crazy indie stuff. I just recently started using digital painters and so I'm still a newb at all that, but its been a ton of fun learning and I hope to get better!
I also LOVE photography! I'm taking classes in school and have found a passion for it. I'm really hoping to stick with it as I go into college.
Currently, I've been enjoying a lot of Camp Lazlo and other random cartoons on CN and Disney Channel. Truth be told, I love cartoons! How can you deny them? Everyone's a kid inside! I'm really lovin' CL at the moment . Oh my goodness, that monkey. He's such a hippy, makes me all happy inside! I'd seen CL before a couple times in the past, but never really got into it until this past Autumn. I'm glad I did...It's a trip, lol.

Well, what else is there to say about me? Not much, unless you want every little detail...which would take quite a long time to write. ^^;

Well, there's my first entry to LJ! Nice to meet yah!
